Let go of everything so that I can have everything
Many times, I imagine myself cling onto my security “log” floating in a river, but I am just flowing with the river and not necessary in the direction I want to go. Maybe it works for me in the past to hold on the log for survival but is it necessary now? Maybe it is time, I let go of this log and swim towards shore. Maybe it is time to ask myself, what do I need to loose, what do I need to let go, in order to have and find the things I want in life. What thoughts, possessions, memories, beliefs, assessments, emotions, habits, behavior, etc am I willing to let go before I can swim towards my future? What small steps do I need to take so that I can get closer to my dreams, passions and values in life?
If you are still stuck and could not let go, maybe it is good to ask “what will my life be if I continue the path I am in, holding onto the security blanket?” “What is the worst that can happen without the security blanket?” “Will I die by letting it go?”
